The series contains documentation of and correspondence pertinent to the process through which Newman attained accreditation from the Association of Theological Schools (ATS) as well as documentation of subsequent reaccreditation processes. The ATS Accreditation Steering Committee was incorporated to guide the College through the accreditation process and culled information that would subsequently be put to use in the formal reports Newman Theological College would file with the ATS.
The series includes correspondence and other records documenting the relationship between the Secretariat and various associated entities during the Papal Visit, such as the Catholic Women’s League, Knights of Columbus, Catholic Schools, and the Edmonton Sun. The series also includes correspondence regarding licensing, marketing, souvenir booklet, video productions, gifts for the Pope and crosses to be blessed.

The series contains records documenting the planning and organization of the annual assembly held in the spring at which all members of the Council of Women Religious would gather to discuss issues and topics relevant to their roles and responsibilities in the Archdiocese. The assembly would include a variety of activities including the delivery of the annual report. It is important to note that between 1988 and 2007 no specific records related to the planning of the assembly were maintained. Annual reports and agendas for the assembly can be found in the corresponding files located in the general administrative records series.

The series contains site plans and other architectural drawings pertaining to the organization of the mass celebrated at Namao during the visit of Pope John Paul II to Edmonton.

Fonds includes photographs, photograph albums, slides and negatives which provide important documentation about the life, actions and activities of the Bishops, Priests, Seminarians, Men and Women Religious, and Laity who have served in the Archdiocese. It also contains CDs which contain digital images in various formats including JPEGs and TIFF files.
Photographs number ARCAE-P-1 to ARCAE-P-533 were taken by either the United Press International or the Religious News Services for use in the publication of the Western Catholic Reporter. These photographs are primarly of Pope Paul VI. Item level descriptions of these photographs has not yet been completed.

The sub-series consists of records that document the various services provided by the Archdiocese of Edmonton to its parishes and parishioners and includes records related to the Knights of Columbus, Camps operated by the Archdiocese, Commissions and Offices established to provide ministry.
The file contains copies of the Archdiocesan Handbook and Archdiocesan Policy and Procedures Manual created for staff of the Catholic Pastoral Center and Parish staff to help establish a standardize approach across the entire Archdiocese. Handbooks date from 1973, 1978, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2006. The Policy and Procedure manual dates from 2010. Current policies and procedures are posted on the archdiocesan website.
It is possible that handbooks were created in the 1980s and 1990s but were not transferred to the Archives.
The file consists of records that document actions and activities of the Archdiocesan Personnel Committee (which was eventually replaced by the Archdiocesan Human Resources Office) and includes correspondence, policies and procedures and other informational content.
The sub-subseries consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council (originally called the Diocesan Pastoral Council) as established by Archbishop Jordan in the aftermath of Vatican II.
The sub-subseries includes meeting minutes and correspondence from the Steering Committee (the committee that developed into the Diocesan Pastoral Council), the Consultative Committee, and the Executive Committee. In addition the sub-subseries includes resource materials, publications, reports, and other miscellaneous documents.
