Administrative history
The Archdiocesan Youth Commission was formed in 1976 by Archbishop MacNeil. In 1979, a full-time Co-ordinator of Youth Ministry was appointed.
The Youth Commission ceased to exist in 2003 when the Archdiocese Commissions were re-organized.
Custodial history
The material was sent to the archives by Andrew Papenbrock in March 2008. It is possible that other Youth Commission material will be added to the fonds at a later date.
Scope and content
The fonds consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Archdiocesan Youth Commission and includes correspondence, meeting minutes and other records that help illuminate the many activities, workshops and other events organized by the commission.
The fonds is arranged into the following series:
