    The series consists of records which document the many retreats Archbishop MacNeil attended during his time as Archbishop of Edmonton. These records include information about the retreat as well as the Archbishops personal notes about the events and consist of correspondence, registration information, program of events, and personal writing and reflections composed by the Archbishop during and after the retreat.

    Retreats attended by the Archbishop include those in Antigionish, Thunder Bay, Ottawa, Kingston as well as several in Edmonton.
