    Scope and content

Item is an example of the St. Joseph/ Newman medal that was given out as a gift for the blessing of the new buildings. This was second coin made to commemorate the event. The first coin was struck a year before however the date of the blessing changed, making the original coin unusable. This coin was made with the hidesight not to include a "fixed" date on the coin because the date was still unknown.

Side A includes the an image of St. Joseph the Worker and the inscription" EXIIT QUE SEMINAT... ST.JOSEPH SEMINARY 2011" Side B includes an image of the Bust of John Newman and the inscription "FIDES QUAERENS INTELLECTUM... NEWMAN THEOLOGICAL COLLEGE".

N.B other noticable diffrences are that the original medal (OM) has a thinner collar while the proper medal (PM) has a thicker collar hiding the neck .OM is missing the left eye while PM has both eyes present, OM has the Newman's cape connecting to his collar while the PM has it cut short.

See also ARCAE-M-4-13 for information about the original medal.
