This series documents the activities of the Newman Theological College Administrative Council, and consists most notably of the minutes of Administrative Council meetings. The Administrative Council is composed of the majority of Newman Theological College administrators and is charged with the mandate of overseeing administrative decisions. Furthermore, this series also contains correspondence between members of the Administrative Council, Newman Theological College, employees of Newman Theological College and other organizations. In addition, this series contains documents such as job descriptions, employee resumes, articles that were the subject of discussion at meetings and financial records.
This series contains records of the various Administrative Departments of Newman Theological College including, but not limited to the Social Justice Institute Committee, Charismatic Institute, Ecumenical Institute, Pastoral Counselling Program, Youth Ministry Studies Certificate, and Liturgy Committee.
The series includes meeting minutes, planning records, some financial records and correspondence arranged in chronological order. Where an executive roster exists, it is filed first, financial statement is last. The series also includes a separate file of (most) financial statements (see file 1-39). The file is dated by the date of the annual Friars event in the spring. Therefore planning meetings held in the fall of the previous year are filed with the records from the annual event (eg. Oct 1989 are in the file for Friars 1990).
