The sub subseries consists of duplicate Baptism registers (1842-1966), original hospital Baptism and Birth registers (1905-1988), Baptism index cards (1965-1982), CANSTAT (Sacramental records database) printouts (1999-2011), and Baptism register photocopies (2011-present).

Index list (hardcopy and scanned) of Baptisms prior to 1965 to aid in locating place of Baptism. Register duplicate can then be searched.

Rural mission parishes and the central rural parish that served them can be determined from a Mission cross reference list in archives.

Please note the following:

Winterburn renamed Enoch in 1991. The majority of Winterburn Church records were destroyed in a fire 05 November 1990.

Hobbema renamed Maskwacis in 2014.

Resurrection Parish has been named several different ways, St. Michael, St. Michael-Resurrection was again renamed Church of the Resurrection in 2013, however it is sometimes called Assumption-Resurrection Parish.

Newman Theological College (NTC) had a chapel that was used as the Light of Christ community from1994-2000. Archives has the original register dated 1994-2005.

Eritrean Catholic Community (Ge'ez Rite) original combination register in Archives (J2-2-6).

Queen of Martyrs (Vietnamese Catholic Community) duplicate baptism Register copies for 2008-2010, likely incomplete, are housed in box J2-2-6. Duplicate copies from 2011 onwards are filed with the City Parish Baptism Register Copies in the Archives Vault (in alphabetical order by parish name). Please note baptism prior to 2011 are not in CANSTAT database.

St. Jung Ha Sang Catholic Parish duplicate baptism register copies for 2000-2010, is very incomplete, are housed in box J2-2-6. Duplicate copies from 2011 onwards are filed with the City Parish Baptism Register Copies in the Archives Vault (in alphabetical order by parish name). Please note baptism prior to 2011 are not in CANSTAT database.

Namao contains Baptisms of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). However most baptism that took place in Namao or on the base will be filed with the Military Ordinatiate in Ottawa.

Polish Mission Rural Baptisms filed separately under rural town of Chipman. Other areas included are Krakow, Mundare, Haight, Innisfree and Hilliard. These register copies were separated from 9.9 Early Registers on 09 Mar 2017 for proper search purposes. MK. On 21 Sep 2017 reassigned to Oblate Accession 2017/302 with Combination registers. Likewise St. Albert B.MS. reassigned to match originals now in our possession. MK

Sub-subseries consists of bound letter books of out-going correspondence of Rev. Leduc in his capacity as Chancellor, 1884-1918; Rev. Emile Legal in his capacity as Co-Adjutor Bishop and Bishop of the Diocese of St. Albert and as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton, 1897-1920; Rev. Vital Grandin in his capacity as Bishop of the Diocese of St. Albert, 1877-1902; indexes of letter books of Bishop Grandin and Bishop Legal, 1896-1920.

These letters are primarily of an administrative nature.

The sub-subseries consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council (originally called the Diocesan Pastoral Council) as established by Archbishop Jordan in the aftermath of Vatican II.

The sub-subseries includes meeting minutes and correspondence from the Steering Committee (the committee that developed into the Diocesan Pastoral Council), the Consultative Committee, and the Executive Committee. In addition the sub-subseries includes resource materials, publications, reports, and other miscellaneous documents.

The sub-sub-series consists of records that document the relationship between the Archdiocese and various Solidarity and Confraternities organizations. In particular the files in this sub-sub-series consist of records related to the Solidarity in Honour of Our Lady and are comprised mainly of correspondences.

The sub-series consists of records that are related to the ownership of various cemetery sites and include correspondence, maps, site appraisal reports, financial information and other relevant documents. Please note that this file only contains information for cemetery sites that are not attached to a parish building (i.e. an independent site). The sub-sub-series consists of records that document the relationship between the Archdiocese and various organizations that have provide charity and social service work to the people of the Archdiocese including the Catholic Charity Bureau, Catholic Charities, Catholic Social Services and Catholic Immigration Services and includes meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, memos and other miscellaneous documents.

The sub-sub-series is divided into the following files:

The sub-subseries consists of correspondences, meeting minutes, manuals and other miscellaneous records which document the formation and actions of the Ad Hoc Parish Pastoral Council Committee that operated between 1970 and 1991. The committee was formed in response to the Second Vatican Council's enriched concept of Church which emphasized that the Church is the People of God. In a decree on the Apostolate of Lay People, Vatican II stated that "the laity should develop the habit of working in the parish in close union with their priests, of bring before the ecclesial community their own problems, world problems, and questions regarding man's salvation, to examine them together and solve them by general discussion. According to their abilities the laity ought to cooperate in all the apostolic and missionary enterprise of their ecclesial family."

The series consists of records which document the actions of the facilitators who ran the "Together in Ministry" workshops in parishes throughout the Archdiocese and consists of meeting minutes, correspondences and other miscellaneous records.

The sub-subseries includes copies of the 1st and 2nd edition TIMS manual, the French edition, as well as records which document the process for applying for and receiving a grant to translate the TIMS manual from English to French. The sub-series also includes evaluations of the 1st edition TIMS manual as well as correspondence related to the revision of the 2nd edition TIMS manual conducted over a ten year period from 1999 to 2009.

The sub-series consists of the survey results from all parishes located within the Archdiocese of Edmonton. The sub-subseries also includes the final report of the ToPs Task Group which was presented to the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council in 1997.

The sub-subseries includes records which document the actions and activities carried out by the ToPs implementation Task Group and includes correspondences, minutes, reports, a manual compiled by the Task Group and other miscellaneous records which document the process undertaken by the Task Group to implment the changes and recommendations proposed by the TOPS Task Group survey completed in 1997.

The sub-subseries includes records related to the publication and communication of the report entitled "Faithfully into the Future" and includes a copy of the report, as well as correspondence which document the reaction to the report from various parishes across the Archdiocese. The sub-subseries also includes records relating to workshops which were created to better explain the report to parishes in the Archdiocese.

The sub-subseries consists of correspondence, newspapaer clippings, meeting minutes, and other records which document the actions of the Archbishop's Coordinating Committee, a group established to oversee the implementation of the Faithful into the Future report published in 1998.

The subseries consists of records which document the financial activies of the Alberta Regional Tribunal and includes correspondence regarding financial matters, budgets, financial reports and statistics complied for several sources including Rome.
