            The subseries consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Council of Women Religious (renamed the Council of Consecrated Women in 2010) and includes correspondence between members of the Council and the Archdiocese Administration (1974-2009), meeting minutes and agendas (1947-2009), newspaper clippings, newsletters and other miscellaneous records. The subseries also includes documents pertaining to the Sister Council (1976-1983), the entity that evolved into the Council of Women Religious in the late 1970s.

            Fonds is comprised of records which document the life and activities of the sisters in Edmonton consisting of the following series:

            1. Photographs, Albums and Scrapbooks (ca.1925-1975)
            2. Personal Papers (1925-1975)
            3. Ephemera and relics (ca.1880-1985)

            The Fonds is by no means complete, and it is likely that the official records are with the Sisters in Calgary.

            This is a photograph of Margot Bilodeau, ommi, on a poster on vocations. The caption under the photograph reads: "Margot, a lay Oblate, lives for Christ in the midst of the world. As a member of the Secular Institute of the Oblates she takes annual vows of poverty, chastity and obedience."
