The file consists of files that document the relationship between the Archdiocese and various seminaries across Canada and in the United States where seminarians studying for the Archdiocese of Edmonton have been educated. This sub-series consists primarily of correspondence and is arranged into the following files:

The file consists of seminarian files, applications to the seminary and other records related to seminarians. The bulk of the records are the seminary files (like student files) which arranged in alphabetic order dating from 1921-1985 (current files are maintained at St. Joseph Seminary).

The file consists of records that document the relationship between the Archdiocese Administrative Offices and St. Joseph Seminary. These records include correspondence, meeting minutes, historical notes and other miscellaneous records that document the establishment, operations, and continued management of St. Joseph Seminary.

In addition this file contains records of Holy Family Seminary (now closed) that operated in St. Albert between 1900 and 1917. Please note that the majority of St. Joseph Seminary Records can be found in the St. Joseph Seminary Fonds.
