The series consists of speeches given by Archbishop O'Leary in his capacity of Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton. The series also consists of addresses (or cards) received by the Archbishop from the many parishes and Catholic organizations (such as the Knights of Columbus and Catholic Women's League) active in the Archdiocese. The majority of the addresses were given to Archbishop O'Leary to commemorate a pastoral visit or confirmation celebration. Most of the addresses are written in an ornate calligraphy with various design details.
