The series consists of handwritten and typed copies of pastoral and circular letters written by Rt. Rev Emile Legal during his time as Bishop of St. Albert and Archbishop of Edmonton. These letters were used as a means of communicating important information to the priests serving parishes and mission in the vast territories that Legal was responsible.
