This candid photograph depicts Rev. Edward Purcell and two unidentified people in military dress posing together. This photograph was taken on the occasion of the presentation of the Papal blessing and was made at the annual Kingsway Royal Canadian Branch 175 Christmas on Dec. 15, 1994. Over 300 guests attended dinner. It appears that the Papal blessing and rosary were given for serving as Chaplain to the Royal Canadian Legion.

The file contains records which pertain to the administration and management of the Catholic Mission of St. John the Evangelist located in Namao, Alberta and includes annual pastoral reports and annual financial reports.
