The file consists of records that document the relations between the Archdiocese and the Commission for Christian Unity and includes records related to the Canadian Center of Ecumenism in Montreal, the National Anglican - Catholic Dialogue, the National United-Catholic Dialogue, the iner-church Social Justice Coalition, the Canadian Council of Churches relationship with the CCCB, and the Ecumenical Institute of Canada and consists primarily of correspondence and resource materials.
The file consists of records that document the relationship between the Ecumenical Commission and the Archdiocese. In 2004 the commission was closed and replaced with the Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations and integrated into the formal structure of the Archdiocese. Records documenting the relationship between the Office of Ecumenical and Interfaith Relations and the Chancery can be found in this sub-sub-series.
As such the file consists of meeting minutes, correspondence reports and other memos. The sub-sub-series also consists of records that document various initiatives and activities carried out by the commission including organizing and participating in the Week of Christian Unity, organizing and participating in various dialogues between other faith groups in the Edmonton area, information on the World Day of Prayer, information on the Edmonton Interfaith Society and information related to other similar events and organizations.

The file consists of records that document the Archdiocese response to issues related to Justice and Correction and includes documents from the church councils on Justice and Correction, records from the Interfaith Committee on Chaplaincy, and records related to Catholic Chaplains serving in Correctional Institutions (1952-2012).
