Battle, Rev. Ernest RaymondThe album was created in the form of a scrapbook. The album consists primarily of photographs but also includes newspaper clippings which document the life of Rev. Ernest Battle including his days at seminary in the 1920s, his ordination in 1924, as well as the many parishes he served at in the Archdiocese of Edmonton as pastor.
The fonds includes correspondence, homilies, research files, photographs and other miscellaneous records which document the personal and priestly life of Rev. Emmett Crough. The records cover fifty years of Rev. Croughs education and work as a priest. Of specific interest are his homilies which cover the period of 1958 to 1970. Not all homilies are dated. The name of the parish or mission where the homily was given is indicated on most homily texts. Homilies are filed in alphabetical order of title.
