The collection includes a variety of liturgical music including mass settings, liturgical songs and other church music in English, Latin, and French for full choir, four voices and with piano and/or organ accompaniment.

The collection includes a variety of pamphlets, magazines, and self published items related to the history of the Catholic Church in Alberta. Publications come from a variety of sources including St. Joseph Seminary, Newman Theological College, active and inactive parishes in the Archdiocese of Edmonton, the Pastoral and Administration Offices, commissions of the Archdiocese and other Catholic organizations and institutions.

The collection includes a variety of religious objects gathered by various archivists with the intention of creating an Archdiocesean museum. Of particular significance are the following items: a large gold reliquary, the Vatican II ring worn by Archbishop Jordan at the Vatican II council in Rome, the relics of the true cross, the neo-gothic and highly ornamented gold chasubles and the apostolic delegates chalice. The collection also includes artifacts from the papal visit tour in 1987 and world youth day events celebrated throughout the Archdiocese.

The artifacts have been grouped into the following five series:

The fonds consists of records which document the activities of the Adult Learning Commission from its first creation as the Office of Continuing Education in 1989 through to its closure in 2003. The fonds consists of records which documents Archbishop O'Leary's actions and activities as the second Bishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and includes correspondence with priests and with the laity, copies of his sermons, addresses given to the Archbishop and addresses given by the Archbishop, records documenting various celebrations including the Archbishop's 25th Jubilee.

The fonds also includes a variety of personal documents, including correspondence with O'Leary's friends and family, personal documents and identification papers.

Fonds consists of records which document the life of Archbishop MacNeil primarily during the time he served as Archbishop of Edmonton. However, there is also significant documentation from his time as Bishop of the Diocese of St. John, New Brunswick, documents pertaining to his time as seminarian and information on his family (including copies of his family tree).

The fonds consists of records which document the life of Rt. Rev. Emile Joseph Legal and his actions and activities as the second Bishop of St. Albert and first Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and includes written and typed copies of his pastoral and circular letters, his personal journals and diaries, the diaries he kept while pastor at the St. Albert Parish in St. Albert, as well as large amount of correspondence between Legal and his family, friends, fellow clergymen, members of the laity, organizations and business that he interacted with in the course of his daily activities as a priest, bishop, and administrator of the Diocese of St. Albert and Archdiocese of Edmonton.

Archbishop Jordan Fonds

The fonds consists of records which document the life of Archbishop Anthony Jordan predominantly during the period when he served as Archbishop of Edmonton and includes a variety of personal documents, copies of circular letters composed by Jordan to the priests of the Archdiocese, homilies composed and given by Jordan at a variety of Archdiocesan and private events, correspondence regarding a variety of administrative and personal matters, as well as newspaper clippings and other miscellaneous documents.

Of particular interest are the following: correspondence between Archbishop Jordan and Rev. McNeil (chancellor) dating from the period when Archbishop Jordan attended the Second Vatican Council in Rome, and the speech delivered at Newman Theological College on the 10th anniversary of the institution.

The fonds consists of records which document the actions and activities of Archbishop Thomas Christopher Collins between 1999 and 2007 when he served as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton, prior to his appointment to the Archdiocese of Toronto and subsequent elevation to the College of Cardinals in 2012.

The fonds includes a variety of documents including personal papers, publications, circular letters, correspondence to bishops, priests, family, friends, parishioners, etc., daily calendars detailing his personal appointments, events, and meetings.
