Burial Permits

The file consists of copies of burial permits used by Edmonton Catholic Cemetery staff to manage with the burials at their four locations. Permits are arranged in chronological order (and should be duplicated in the records of the Province of Alberta).

The file also includes folders of burial application forms (1944-1956) and disinter-reinter permits.

Newman Theological College (NTC) had a chapel that was used as the Light of Christ community from1994-2000. Archives hold the original register.

Eritrean Catholic Community (Ge'ez Rite) original combination register in Archives (J2-2-6).

Resurrection, St. Michael, St. Michael-Resurrection was again renamed Church of the Resurrection in 2013.
Namao contains burials of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).
Winterburn renamed Enoch in 1991.
Hobbema renamed Maskwacis in 2014.
Lac Ste. Anne includes Alexis and Paul Band. Alexis Reserve also has a separate file.

Dating from 1961, the year the Archbishop was appointed to St. Francis Xavier University and continuing through to the present this series provides a comprehensive view of the actions and activities of the Bishop through his various titles and positions (Bishop of St. John, Archbishop of Edmonton, and Emeritus Archbishop of Edmonton).

The fonds consists of records which document the activities of Camp Encounters from the time that the Board of Directors was created in 1980 and consists of the administrative and operational records of the camp.

The fonds also includes records which document the involvement of Camp Encounters with the Edmonton North West Bingo Association and other funding agencies and programs.
