The fonds consists of a variety of personal papers belonging to Bishop Grandin which document the life, actions and activities of the first bishop of the Diocese of St. Albert. The vast majority of records are in French, as Grandin's primarly language of communication was French. The fonds includes pastoral letters, correspondence, personal documents such as his baptismal certificate and will, and the daily journals Bishop Grandin kept during his time as bishop of St. Albert.
