The Fonds consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Department of Pastoral and Parish Services (DPPS) (including records dating from the predecessors of the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis and the Department of Pastoral Services). The fonds includes information about the various sub-departments that have been active under the DPPS umbrella. Please note that there have been many name and function changes to the DPPS since its creation in 2004. In addition there have been many name and function changes to the departments under the DPPS umbrella.
Department of Pastoral and Parish ServicesThe sub-sub-series consists of records that provide general information about the various councils and commissions operated by the Archdiocese of Edmonton and includes history, mission statements, catalogs, calendar of events, annual reports, and membership lists. More detailed information for each commission can be found in the subsequent sub-sub-series titled by its name (for example additional information about the Liturgy Commission can be found in ARCAE-1-1-6-24).

The file contains records which pertain to the administration and management of St. Michael Mission located in Delburn, Alberta and includes general correspondence (ca.1920), annual reports (1921-1933), annual financial reports (1989-200), and other miscellaneous records.
The sub-subseries consists of records related to the activities of the defender of the bond and includes correspondence related to specific cases and decisions as well as general correspondence about the scope and nature of the roles and responsibilties of the defender of the bond.

Photograph album contains black and white photographs commemorating the dedication of St. Joseph's Cathedral on May 1, 1963. Album includes photos of the interior and exterior of St. Joseph's Cathedral, taken at the solemn opening and blessing. Several pages also include photos of Archbishop John Hugh MacDonald, and Coadjutor Archbishop Anthony Jordan, along with the solemn blessing prayer and invitations to the event.

This file was likely created by Sister Cecil as a research project in conjunction with the 125th Anniversary celebrations of the Diocese of St. Albert which took place in 1996.
The series consists of 22 bound journals created by Bishop Grandin which document his day-to-day life, travels, visits to parishes, as well as information about the weather, food and environment he was living in.
The series also includes transcriptions of the Journals compiled by Archdiocesan staff in the 1990s and 2000s. Only the first volume has been translated and published. The rest are in French.
