This fonds contains two scrapbooks of photographs of seminarians and activities that took place at St. Joseph’s Seminary over the period 1945-1948. There are also invitations to ordinations, St. Joseph Dramatic Society programs, newspaper clippings, and 52 negatives included with Scrapbook 1.

Fonds consists of comprehensive documentation which chronicles the activities of Immaculate Conception parish from is beginning in 1906 to its merger with St. Tomas D’Aquin parish in 2011. The fonds includes official correspondence with the Archdiocese of Edmonton Administration, Personnel records of priests and other employees who worked at the parish, announcement books which chronicles the social activities of the parish, lists of parishioners, parish bulletins (and associated inserts), meeting minutes and correspondence of various parish councils and committees including the Parish Pastoral Council and the Liturgy Council, financial records, including annual reports, records which document the many events held at Immaculate Conception and hosted by the parishioners, records related to the construction, maintenance and renovations of the Chapel and Rectory, as well as newspaper clippings, photographs, and other records which help document nearly 100 years of parish history.

Fonds contains records which document the activities of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, its parishioners, and the members of the Catholic Women’s League actives in the parish. Fonds consists of writings by Msgr. Foran including many of his homilies dating from 1931-1948, text prepared for the Catholic Truth and Broadcast (1936-1944), articles written for the Western Catholic Reporter focusing mostly on the papacy and the church (1942-1949) and on world dynamics (1943-1945), as well as text written for a variety of other sources between 1930 and 1970. The fonds also includes his book and his thesis "De Natura et Efficacia Extremae Unctionis” (1930) composed while he was at seminary.

All the texts are arranged in alphabetical order. Index to sermons is available upon request.

In addition the fonds includes copies of Rev. Foran's three diplomas in Theology stored in oversize storage in the vault.

MacDonald attended and other miscellaneous records.

The fonds consists primarily of photographs, albums and scrapbooks which document Msgr. Otterson's time at seminary and his early priesthood. There are very few photographs from his time spent as a teacher. Unfortunately, many of the photographs are unidentified.

In addition there are a few letters, newspaper clippings and other miscellaneous textual records such as cards, prayer cards, and invitations.
