The series consists of monthly and annual calendars of Archbishop Richard Smith which document his many appointments, meetings, conferences, speaking engagements, masses and other events.

The series is composed of files pertaining to the Archbishop's work with the CCCB Communications Standing Committee (2011), CCCB Executive (2011), Edmonton Homeless Commission (2007-2010), Ad Hoc Committee on Life and Family (2010) as well as certificates of appreciation, awards and honours, Jubilee 100 Pilgrimage to the Holy Land (2013), Papal Visit 2022 and newspaper clippings. It is likely that this series will be re-arranged as more records are transferred to the Archives.

The fonds consists of records documenting the actions and activities of Archbishop Richard Smith during his time as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and includes correspondence, calendars and monthly agendas, records related to his installation in 2007, homilies, speeches, blog posts and other writings, as well as a host of miscellaneous records including committee notes, documents pertaining to travels and pilgrimages he has led, newspaper clippings, and awards and honours he has received.

The series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence received by Archbishop Smith related to a variety of administrative, management, and spiritual topics and issues handled by the Archbishop in his capacity as the head of the Archdiocese of Edmonton. The series also includes Christmas Cards, some confirmation letters, as well it includes initiations received by His Grace to attend various events and celebrations, and recommendation letters and letters of congratulations composed by His Grace.

The series consists of records related to the installation of Archbishop Smith as the 7th Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and includes letters of congratulations received by the Archbishop, invitations, program of events and other records related to the logistics of the installation mass and other celebratory events organized by the staff of the Archdiocese of Edmonton.

The series consists of homilies, speeches, presentations, blog posts and other writings composed by Archbishop Smith in his capacity as Archbishop of Edmonton. Homilies, speeches, and presentations were given at a variety of events including major anniversary celebrations, Archdiocesan events (such as the Jubilee 100, Year of Faith, etc.), priestly ordinations, funerals and other events.
