The series consists of various publications composed by Archbishop Collins during his time as Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and is organized into two files, the first composed of French and English copies of the circular letters published by Archbishop Collins, including "The Eucharist: It is the Lord," "Reconciliation: Go in Peace," and "Stewardship: Well done, good and faithful servant," the second file containing various publications for newspapers, journals, on a variety of topics.
The series consists of various texts composed by Archbishop Collins and delivered at a variety of events. These speeches, talks and presentations cover a variety of topic (mainly of a theological nature) and are arranged by subject.

The series consists of the weekly, monthly and daily calendars of Archbishop Collins documenting his personal and professional appointments, events, activities, and responsibilities dating from his time as priest, Bishop of the Diocese of St. Paul and Archbishop of the Diocese of Edmonton. The calendars are arranged chronologically.
The series consists of incoming and outgoing correspondence between Archbishop Collins and other Canadian Bishops, priests of the Archdiocese of Edmonton, his family, members of the laity, Archdiocesan staff and various other people on a variety of personal, administrative and spiritual topics.
For the most part this series is arranged in chronological order, however there are a few files that are grouped by subject (for example correspondence re: Vocations).
While the series includes correspondence that pre-dates Archbishop Collins' appointment to the Archdiocese of Edmonton in particular the file of correspondence from him time as a student in Rome), there is no correspondence dating from his previous appointments. This correspondence would be filed in the Administrative Records of the Diocese of Hamilton, London, and St. Paul.
