This series documents the activities of the Newman Theological College Academic Council, and consists most notably of the minutes of Academic Council meetings. The Academic Council was composed of Faculty members and occasionally students with a mandate to govern over the academic affairs of Newman Theological College. Furthermore, this series also contains correspondence between members of the Academic Council, Newman Theological College and other organizations as well as other documents such as master timetables, articles that were the subject of discussion at meetings and financial records.

The Administrative Council is composed of the majority of Newman Theological College administrators and is charged with the mandate of overseeing administrative decisions. Furthermore, this series also contains correspondence between members of the Administrative Council, Newman Theological College, employees of Newman Theological College and other organizations. In addition, this series contains documents such as job descriptions, employee resumes, articles that were the subject of discussion at meetings and financial records.
This series contains records of the various Administrative Departments of Newman Theological College including, but not limited to the Social Justice Institute Committee, Charismatic Institute, Ecumenical Institute, Pastoral Counselling Program, Youth Ministry Studies Certificate, and Liturgy Committee.

The ATS Accreditation Steering Committee was incorporated to guide the College through the accreditation process and culled information that would subsequently be put to use in the formal reports Newman Theological College would file with the ATS.

Each sub-series contains information about the committees formed to organize the lectures, minutes of their meetings, correspondence between the committees, speakers, local media and other members of the Newman Theological College faculty. Each sub-series also contains copies of various newspaper articles either promoting or reporting upon the lectures. The series is arranged into four subseries: Anthony Jordan Lecture Series, Vital Grandin Lecture Series, Fall Speaker Series and Convocation Series.
