The Fonds consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Department of Pastoral and Parish Services (DPPS) (including records dating from the predecessors of the Department of Evangelization and Catechesis and the Department of Pastoral Services). The fonds includes information about the various sub-departments that have been active under the DPPS umbrella. Please note that there have been many name and function changes to the DPPS since its creation in 2004. In addition there have been many name and function changes to the departments under the DPPS umbrella.
Department of Pastoral and Parish ServicesThe series consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Ecumenical and Interfaith Office from its establishment in 2003 through to 2011 and includes general correspondence between the director of the office and other persons (both employees of the Archdiocese and affiliations in other related organizations), general admin records and program/project files. The general admin records files are a mix of a variety of record groups including events, invitations, meeting minutes, and other operational records.
Project files include, Phoenix Society (2006-2009), Walking Together, Jewish/Christian/Muslim Dialogue, Anglican/Catholic Exhibit, Week For Christian Prayer (2006-2007) and the Diversity Committee Meeting - Caritas Health Group.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of Office of Stewardship and its predecessor The Office of Religious Education and includes correspondence, meeting minutes, annual reports as well as information related to the involvement of staff of the Office with the Religious Education Network (REN) and the WCCRE (Western Catholic Conference for Religious Educators). In addition planning and organization records for the execution of Scripture Fest are found in this series.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Office of Life and Family and all of its predecessors including the Office of Family Life and Health Care (2004-2007), Office of Marriage and Family (2007-2010), Office of Family and Life (2010-2014). The series includes general correspondence, annual reports, information about marriage preparation programs, family ministry programs, and life initiatives (including the Vigil for Life, the March for Life, and Rachel's Vineyard) in the Archdiocese.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Office of Pastoral Care and all of its predecessors including the Office of Pastoral Care and Life (2002-2009). The series includes general correspondence, annual reports, information about pastoral care ministry, pandemic planning and other health care related concerns and issues in the Archdiocese.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of Office of Social Justice during the tenure of Bob McKeon as its director from 2010-2015. Files in this series are organized by topic/subject and arranged as they were found when they were transferred to the Archives when Bob retired in 2015. The Archives was unable to determine the original order of the records due to the disorganized manner in which they were transferred.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of Office of Stewardship that was created by Archbishop Collins in 2004 and includes correspondence, meeting minutes, strategic planning documents, annual reports, workshop and resource materials, newsletters, and pamphlets created by the staff of the office. Shortly after the arrival of Archbishop Smith in 2007 the Office of Stewardship was moved under the newly created office of New Evangelization that encompassed Stewardship, Nothing More Beautiful, and Together in Ministry.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization and its predecessor the Youth and Young Adult Commission and includes administrative and operational records including correspondence, meeting minutes, annual reports and budgets as well as records that document the planning and preparation for World Youth Day and World Youth Day at Home celebrations and other ministry programs offered by the office.
The series consists of records that document the actions and activities of the Department of Pastoral Services and includes general information about the entire department such as general correspondence and annual reports, documentation related to activities put on by the entire department including Pastoral Assistants Day and Faith Formation Day.
