The folder contains annual reports from the Blood Reserve Hospital (1894-1908) and the St. Croix Hospital in Calgary (1909-1910). These reports contain detailed information on expenditures of the hospital, the staff (religious and no religious), the number of patients (in many cases distinguished by their nationality and/or religious affiliation), and other details pertaining to hospital administration.

These reports were created as a means of reporting the actions and activities of the hospitals to the Bishop of the Diocese of St. Albert prior to the establishment of the Diocese of Calgary.

The subseries contains records that document the relationship between the Archdiocese and various Catholic, Christian, and State run hospitals, health boards and foundations, nursing homes, and care centers including Catholic Health of Alberta (CHofA), Covenant Health and Caritas. The subseries includes correspondence, appointment letters, reports, meeting minutes and agendas, other governance documents as well as newsletters and newspaper clippings.

The file consists of records related to the establishment of Villa Vianney (the retirement home for priests located in the Archdiocese) and includes correspondence, reports, meeting minutes as well as plans and other documents related to the operations and continued management of the Villa.

In addition this file consists of records related to the attempted development of a nursing home in the Archdiocese that pre-dates the establishment of the retirement home for priests and includes correspondence, reports and other miscellaneous documents.

The fonds includes one photograph album containing photographs, pamphlets, cards and other mementos from Priscilla Edwards time as a Chaplain for the Archdiocese of Edmonton.

The fonds also includes two papal blessings, the first issued in 1997 from His Holiness Pope John Paul II on the occasion of Priscilla Edwards' twenty-fifth year anniversary of service as a Chaplain at the University of Alberta Hospital. The second issued in 2007 from His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on the occasion of her 30 years of service in Pastoral Care at the University of Alberta Hospital.

The file consists of records that document the relationship between the Archdiocese and Catholic Social Services, the organization established to replace Catholic Charities, and includes meeting minutes, correspondence, reports, memos, and other miscellaneous documents.
