The series consists of incoming correspondence receive by Bishop from a variety of sources including priests, members of the Catholic Hierarchy, members of the oblates, family, friends, parishioners, women religious, and others as well as copies of outgoing letters to various sources. The majority of the documents in this series are in French.

Arrangement
The correspondence files have been arranged alphabetically by the last name of each sender. Some files include indexes with brief summaries of the letters. This alphabetical arrangement was done sometime in the 1980s by Sr. Cecil. It was decided not to try to re-arrange the correspondence (ideally chronologically) but instead leave it intact as it would be difficult to create the original order of the documents.
