This photograph depicts the exterior of St. Joseph's seminary in Edmonton where seminarians are shoveling what appears to be an ice rink. The captions of the back of the photograph read:

            1. Sistes' (FJ) house; built in 1907 by Mr. Maisonneuve.
            2. Wing built in 1919.
            3. The old wing was: Front section facing 110th street, the presbytery for St. Joachim Parish--built in 1894 by Rev. A. Lacombe and Rev. Lemarchand. This presbytery was enlarged in 1907, trebling area of original building. The whole unit was sold to the Archdiocese in 1927 to become St. Joseph's seminary.
