          The file contains records which pertain to the administration and management of the Alix Mission located in the southern part of the Archdiocese of Edmonton and served from Bashaw from its conception in 1914. Originally named St. Joseph Mission in 1962 the mission at Alix was renamed St. Rita Mission. The file includes annual reports (1922-1923), general correspondences (1926-1986) and other miscellaneous documents including newspaper articles and a brief history of the mission. St. Rita Mission church was closed in 1998 and the property was sold in 2000.
